Question 1: Name of the Business

The proposed business is "IT for All."

Question 2: A Short Description of My Proposed Business.

"IT for All" is a precise business suitable for the current generation and contemporary business world. Ideally, many businesses presently rely on information technology (IT) services for their progression and operations. As a result, today’s generation must possess basic computing skills due to the rapid increase IT on global scale. Such a practice has enabled many businesses to become competitive and prosper. This business will have at least 30 employees who will undertake various roles in different departments (Tummers et al., 2015). As a major service provider enterprise, the employed workers will have adequate experience and expertise in digital services. One of the business departments will oversee the installation and maintenance of computer network systems within the business's operations. This will ensure that all IT services are offered with efficacy and without delays or defaults. This is a central department and will have two specialists whose primary role is to ensure that the network runs efficiently and smoothly. I have selected this business since many services have been digitalized, and this will be of help to the underserved youths, especially in remote areas.

Question 3: The Nature of My Business

The nature of business is very pivotal for those willing to have a business plan. In this case, my business will be delivering IT services or products to youths within underserved areas. For the business concept, the “IT for All” business will ensure provision all forms of IT services or products to youths living in underserved regions, particularly in urban settings. It will be a non-profit organization to ensure free access to all IT services and products to develop an interest and acquire pertinent knowledge. The target population will all be accessible to IT education to minority teens in urban communities who have not had access due to economic downturns. Due to the nature of the business, I will partner will other competent service providers (volunteers) to ensure the proper delivery of information technology services or products to all youths. Such an undertaking will expose many underserved teens to IT services and will desire to pursue a career in IT after seeing its relevance and significance to the contemporary business realm.

Question 4: Type of Product(S) Or Service(S) Offered by The Business

The business will primarily provide all IT services or products to the vulnerable population, particularly underserved youths in urban settings. It will first inform all the underserved youths that knowledge in IT services plays a central role in the day-to-day routine of contemporary companies and contributes to all business activities' success. Since the youths have been underserved for many years, we will begin by providing basic computer services, including basic computer training on word processing, Excel, STATA, and other skills. We will also provide cloud services, network security, managed print services, and help desk support (Tummers et al., 2015). These will provide a sturdy foundation based on their ability to pursue careers in the IT field. Since most of the underserved population lacks access to IT systems, we shall install computer systems in well-designated places to serve the underserve populace better. Such a business idea will increase their access to IT services.

Question 5: The Information Technology Needs

Different categories of people within the business setting will have different IT needs. For instance, the IT business's upper management plays a fundamental role in making core decisions for the organization. The managers will use IT skills to control and oversee the entire business and its operations. Pertinent IT skills and knowledge will enable them to develop objectives, company policies, strategic plans, and decisions based on the direction of the business. The IT business's middle-level management will digitally provide guidance and direction to the lower-level managers and constantly motivate them to perform better. In most cases, the middle managers devote more time and expertise to the organizational and directional roles than the upper-level managers. Besides, the lower-level workers such as data employees and service employees will provide the required IT services to the vulnerable population as instructed. As a result, they must have competence and expertise in all IT-related services to impart the same to the underserved youths.

Question 6: The Main Business Processes in My Business.

My core business process is product or service delivery. This is an integral business considering the competitiveness in the contemporary world. To be a successful service organization, we should be synonymous with delivering excellent IT services. As a non-profit organization, the goal will be to deliver or make accessible IT resources, education, and information available to underserved teens in urban settings. To remain competitive and ensure efficiency, the IT services or products will be delivered in a predictable, effective, and client-friendly way (Miozzo et al., 2016). To constantly improve IT service or product delivery, we will always define everything which involves what our services do and how to get help whenever required. Again, to ensure proper IT education to all vulnerable groups, we shall track employee capacities and schedules. This will enable us to understand our present resource needs and wisely use them. Proper service or product delivery to the underserved youth will require fostering sturdy culture during IT education, resources, and training sessions.

Question 7: Types of Business Information Systems

I can use different types of business information systems in my "IT for All" business operations. Such systems will be used for data collection and process it as per the requirements of the manager, me as the business owner, and the analyst. One is the Transaction Processing System (TPS), which plays a role in collecting information, storing, processing, and outputting vital business operations' functionalities. An example of this system is the online air ticket booking system.

The second information system is Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), which is used to synchronize sales and make efforts (Laudon, 2007). They also accumulate and track the clients' activities such as customer inquiries, purchasing trends, and product defects. The third system is referred to as the Business Intelligence System (BIS), which is used for identification, extraction, analyzing of information for different operational requirements to make efficient decisions. For instance, the system might be used in the development of risk models. The last system is the Knowledge Management System (KMS), used for organizing and dissecting knowledge and distributing it to people belonging to the organization. Its primary purpose is to retain knowledge, bring innovation and integration, and improve performance.

Question 8: The Enterprise Applications the Business Will Require

My business will exemplify four critical enterprise applications which include: supply chain management systems, knowledge management systems, enterprise systems, and customer relationship management systems (Laudon, 2007). They are generally used to integrate an associated set of roles and business procedures to improve a business's performance. Knowledge management systems are used to support the creation, dissemination, capture, and store firm's knowledge and expertise. These enterprise applications will provide my business with its oriented tools to support electronic commerce, communication, collaboration, and web-enabled process.

For instance, the applications will provide these services to my business, from automation, IT services management, human resource management, collaboration and security, and manufacturing. Customer relationship management system all the ways of company interaction with its clients, examine them to boost revenue, purchaser retention, profitability and satisfy its customers. Supply chain management systems automate data flow between an enterprise and its suppliers to maximize planning, delivery, sourcing, and manufacturing of products and services. All the enterprise systems that are important to an organization are the drivers of a good relationship between customers. They expand the effectiveness and efficacy of an association. They act as data-driven insights for accuracy.

Question 9: Organizing The Information Systems Function of My Business

To organize the information system function of my "IT for All" business, I will have an information system department. The reason is that modern technology boosts the performance and productivity of a company. They will help in the research and development of new ways for generating revenue, streamline those tasks consuming time, and engage customers. They will also save money and time consumed during decision-making. The internal department will be able to communicate better and easily share the information (Burdick et al., 2020). Having an information system will reduce human errors. Workers will aim at the critical business' aspects rather than wasting time in data collection, filing of papers, and completing the manual analysis. Lastly, the team members will be able to access large amounts of information from one platform simultaneously, such as, sales agents, vendors, warehouses, and customers.

Question 10: The Primary Responsibilities of My IT Expert or Department?

IT experts will have several primary responsibilities in the business enterprise; among those responsibilities is administration. They act as a go-to person when one needs assistance with technical issues or is new to the business. They help the newcomers in the navigation of new equipment. They also give technical support to those in need of accessing computer systems or assisting in troubleshooting. It is the responsibility of an IT expert to facilitate communication between the parties involved. For instance, where the companies require to communicate with potential or existing customers through technology methods, the IT experts help them achieve their target clients.

IT experts will also create new programs that help our organization achieve its goals and objectives by working with a software developer and engineer to decode designs into practical codes. The IT team also collaborates with the company's departments to implement the overall vision on how websites should appear and function. They always work behind the scene to produce code, test webpage functionality and help users experiencing problems. Finally, they can work together and make computer programs or applications to assist the business function effectively.
