PROPOSAL FOR TERM PAPER

Strategic planning: strategic planning is an activity which is performed in the organization. Strategic planning is a resource through which organizations make systematic plans to reach to their goals. Decision making is one of the most important things for any organization. One wrong decision can take the organization to very low ranking, but one correct decision can change the future of the organization. this all depends on the strategic planning. Planning may be done once or twice in a year in very comprehensive and detailed manner that is considering the mission, vision, values, goals, responsibilities etc. In this paper, I am going to discuss about a strategic planning of an organization in which I am working as an employee.

ORGANIZATION: I am working in the burger king , which is a chain of hamburger fast food restaurant and there are many restaurants in British Columbia where number of employees are working. Organization is divided into number of franchises or stores within British Columbia. I am going to discuss about burger king in Vancouver in which I am working, as in every restaurant target, expenditure is different.

VISION: My future goal is to become a marketing director of burger king, so that I can serve the organization with my own knowledge and experience for more sales and growth.

MISSION: To achieve my long-term goal I have already started to step towards my destination, currently I am working as an assistant manager in the store, so by gaining experience I will apply as a manager, then area manager and furthermore steps in order to reach my goal.

GOALS:

1. Will enhance my career in marketing field

2. Will gain more experience in marketing field.

3. Going to do some certifications to become a successful marketing manager first.

4. I will pay more attention to the past experiences so that I can learn to do better in my future.

STEPS FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING: I have chosen strategic planning than operational planning because I believe that long term goals exhibit best for organizations as compared to short term goals in case of operational planning. In this paper, I will discuss following steps that I am going to follow to achieve my target.
