Project Deliverable 2 (15%): Writing Proposals

Introduction:

In this project, your mission as a group is to establish a non-profit organization to help address a social or environmental challenge in the country and propose the idea to the authorities in order to get their support.

Based on PD1, write your proposal (750-1250 words) about your suggested plan. The following sections should be included:

Front Matter:

· Letter of Transmittal

· Address it to the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor

· Begin with the purpose

· Note areas of special interest to the reader

· Thank audience for reviewing the proposal

· Title Page

· Descriptive title

· Names of the writers

· Date submitted

· Table of Contents

· List of Illustrations

· Executive Summary (or Abstract)

· Two to four paragraphs

The Proposal

· Introduction

· Answers the questions What and Why

· Should be strong and clear

· Written in a way that different people can all understand

· Body (or Discussion)

· The crux of your argument

· Explains how technical data prove the value of your idea

· Describes specific tasks and qualifications of the people to perform them

· Includes budget that justifies the costs

· May include graphics

· Conclusion (or Summary)

· Concise

· No new information

· Summarizes most convincing points on importance of the project and benefits of the solution

Back Matter:

· Glossary (if needed)

· Works Cited ( three references from reliable sources -APA style)

· Appendixes
