Ms. Osburn
What narrowed topic are you going to write about?
I will be writing about plastic pollution in our oceans, and how it’s affecting wildlife.
What main debatable questions are you going to answer? In other words,
what are your research questions now?
Should Americans worry about the safety of the wildlife in the oceans? Should the government fund a program to help clean up the oceans?
What do you already know or think about this particular issue?
While I currently don’t know all the necessary information to write the essay, I do know America has a pressing issue when it comes to our wildlife in the oceans.
What other questions do you have about this topic?
What is the most effective way to not only clean up the ocean, but to also keep it maintained?
What is being done right now towards cleaning the oceans?
What sort of audience do you want to reach? Why should they care about your topic?
I would like to reach the citizens of America. I hope my words can convince the citizens to do something about pollution. In addition to the citizens, I would like to reach the government service that is in charge of the oceans. The readers of my essay should care about my topic because animals are dying in result of pollution in the oceans.
Besides the fact that this is a class assignment, convince me that there is an honest reason you are interested in this subject, and why I or anyone else in class should be?
I have always cared about the animals in the oceans and have a real passion to express my thoughts in my research for this essay. I write this essay in hopes of reaching people to do something about the plastic in oceans. After reading my essay I hope you gain a better understanding of my topic and start to help spread awareness.
