Consider the ideas from Dr. King's speech that directly confront our contemporary culture? Then, reflect on why leaders need to be able to draw upon ideas from leaders such as Dr. King and others throughout history as they confront their own cultures.
2. Willard, Divine Conspiracy, Chapter 1
Reflect on 1 or 2 of the ideas about the Kingdom that Willard presented that impacted you. Then, consider the CS Lewis quotation he uses on p.20 when he says "Jesus is beginning to turn you into the same kind of thing as Himself." How have you seen this transformation occur in your life so far?
3. Willard, Divine Conspiracy, Chapter 2
In this entry, first reflect on the following question: "Why might God want to change a person's character and spirituality here on earth, before the person reaches heaven?" Then, secondly, consider what it would mean for you to undertake to have Jesus be your teacher in all of life. What do you believe God wants most from you at this time?

Why are worldviews important to consider and reflect upon in terms of understanding other people? What about in terms of understanding yourself better?

In what ways do you think worldview awareness and thought can help you become a more mature disciple of Christ? Secondly, can you identify any worldview beliefs you hold that, upon reflection, arose without your conscious intention and that you might now wish to reevaluate?

Why is it important to have a "clear eyed vision that a totally good and competent God is right here with us to look after us"? (p.67) How does this perspective help us trust God for basic elements of existence?
