Analyze the data you collected in part 1 of the project. You should devote at least half a page or more to spotting the historical trends. What parts of spending are growing? What parts of spending are shrinking?

Analyze the projection data from the CBO. You should devote at least half a page or more. When looking at the projections for future spending, look at them skeptically. Which parts are growing? Which parts are shrinking? For the ones depicted as growing, which are most likely to grow in your opinion? Why? Which do you see as unlikely? Why? What assumptions does the CBO projections have about the economy over the next ten years? Are they realistic?

Do you think we are headed towards a debt crisis? If not, explain why and back up your theory. If yes, do you believe we will primarily default or monetize the debt or do you see some other mechanism to resolve the issue? Do research on previous debt crises and current economic theory and present the example which you think best represents how we will deal with our growing debt. Be sure to include at least 4 sources and cite your work. This portion should be at least 4-5 pages, though it can be longer if needed.
