The following assignments are based upon the same project proposed in your “Project Idea”

 

“Project managers guide and facilitate projects with a keen sense of budget, scope, timeline, staff, and all of the complicated places in between…on the front lines of the projects, defending their teams, clients, and projects from miscommunication, missed deadlines, scope creep, and many other failures. They champion the well-being of the people involved in their projects…” (Harned, 2017, pp. 3-4).

 As administrators, we are often handed projects that we did not choose, and other times we are able to propose a project that would benefit our department and/or organization. In this assignment you will submit a proposal for a hypothetical project you believe is needed in your organization, or one that you have been asked to manage. In addition to a brief introductory and concluding paragraph, this paper should have 4 sections:

I. Brief organization background

II. What organizational problem the project solves

III. The general nature of your project (what is it?), and the Scope (what it entails). It is in your benefit to be as specific as possible in this section. Consider what the phases and parts of the project will be.

IV. In an Appendix   - a preliminary list of project stakeholders. Be sure to discuss this appendix in the body of the paper.

Although the types of projects are endless, your proposal should ideally be related to your concentration, realistic, and not too large in scope.

Your paper should be APA format, using APA section headings, 4 double spaced pages, plus any front and back matter, with at least 2 scholarly references.
