Subject: Culture, Climate, and Ethical Decisions
The purpose of this memo is to identify the main needs for Starbucks Corporation to avoid the same crime against our competitor: employees stealing money and resources without the executive team’s knowledge. The recommended course of action requires examining our company's culture and climate and aligning them to ethical decision-making processes, especially in reference to financial reporting.
Culture and Climate Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: 1. Definitions 2. Describes Starbucks’ culture and climate 3. Describes the implications of this culture and climate
Organizational culture is [x, y, z], while organization climate is [a, b, c]. Our organizational culture involves the expectations, philosophy, values, and experiences that guide the organization workforce's behavior in its workplace. Most importantly, we as the organization leaders are the principal architects of the company's culture. Besides, we are deeply committed to our role of elevating the organization's culture to a level that always corresponds to the ethical values standards. The organization will need to strictly embed and establish its culture to illustrate the behavioral practices that each employee should integrate with. Moreover, the organizational culture should be based on the ethical behavioral framework that shows support, trust, and satisfies employees with their leadership. Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: These sentences all seem to be written as recommendations, which isn’t quite the purpose of this memo.
Ethical Decisions and Practices Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: 1. Definitions 2. Describes Starbucks’ Ethical Decisions and Practices 3. Describes the implications of these Ethical Decisions and Practices
Ethical decisions and practices are defined as [x, y, z].The company should also gauge and judge the sentiments that the organization workforce may be having concerning the available company's policies and practices. It should ensure a transparent and free environment where employees can offer their concerns efficiently to the senior executives without encountering barriers. This is creating an effective communication system between the senior executives and the organization workforce for efficient interactions. Effective communication between the two will enable the employees to express their concerns, and for the executives or the management to fulfill their workplace needs wherever necessary. Shedding light on the employees' opinions and behavior will make them feel appreciated in the organization, thereby preventing the instinct to act unethically in their workplace. In most cases, such as that which occurred in the competitor entity, employees will often engage in unethical issues such as stealing for the company when they realize the company management is not concerned about their needs in the first place. Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: More recommendations?
Moreover, the company should ensure its business policies and practices about such issues that occurred in the competitor organization are effectively formulated and designed for the company and its stakeholders' interest. The management should develop ethical standards to develop the company's expectations regarding the organization workforce's behaviors in their workplace. Also, the company management or the senior executives should ensure to lead by examples by executing their roles following the ethical behavior accepted in the organization. Also, the organization management should ensure that the organization's policies are implemented with care and diligence. Furthermore, the company should praise and award those employees for improving their behavioral practices following the ethics code of conduct. Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: Describe each recommendation. Should/will/must
Thank you all for the corporation and time you have given this memo.

Moore, C., & de Bruin, A. (2018). Ethical entrepreneurship. In Entrepreneurship: New perspectives in a global age (pp. 43-56). Routledge.
The article discusses the three aspects of the picture of ethical entrepreneurship. The first aspect the authors focus on includes the impact of the dual ethical dimension level on entrepreneurship. The second aspect involves how discussion tends to link with the theoretical conceptualization in the argument of ethical entrepreneurship as the action of constrained entrepreneurship. The authors' third aspect entails the fact that ethical conduct is viewed from the constrained perception and dual ethical perspectives and a perspective of the transaction cost. The article emphasizes the benefits the entrepreneurs can gather from the heightening of moral conscience in the economical world when it is highly integrated. Comment by Leigh A. Ruggiero: I would recommend trying to make each sentence simpler. If the aspects need to be discussed over multiple sentences, then that’s okay, too. Comment by Leigh A.
