What is a Project?
A project is a temporary venture undertaken to create a unique product or service.

A project is a new, time-bound effort that has a definite beginning and a definite ending with several related and/or interdependent tasks to create a unique product or service. When businesses are faced with making a change, such as improving an existing work process, constructing a building, installing a new computer system, merging with another company, moving to a new location, developing a new product, or entering a new market. These changes are best planned and managed as projects.

Project Management is the art and science of using knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques efficiently and effectively to meet stakeholder needs and expectations. This includes work processes that initiate, plan, execute, control, and close work. During these processes, trade-offs must be made among the following factors:
Scope (size and features)
Quality (acceptability of the results)
Cost
Schedule
Resources
Risks
Project Goals
In this endeavor the Logistic Service has some specific items that should be completed and fully implemented by the end of year 0.
The specific goals include:
To improve operations at the newly acquired business.
Improve company Values
Increase customer retention
Technological Advancement
Legal and regulatory compliance

Replace obsolete equipment, technology, system

The project should be completed and fully implemented by the end of year 0.
Project Planning Steps
Install motion sensor light bulbs with timers
Implement Safety Measures in the warehouse and while inventory is in transit
Designated location for inventory
Replace obsolete equipment
Classroom training for new hires
Workstations to document reports
The end goal is not to simply maximize profits, but positively impact the environment, people, and society.
Reducing pollution by updating and replacing outdated equipment with energy efficient equipment, greenhouse gas emissions, the use of single-use plastics, water consumption, and general waste.
Increasing reliance on renewable energy, sustainable resources, and recycled or partially recycled materials which will help to reduce wastage.
Summary
Corporate social responsibility initiatives can, for example, be a powerful marketing tool, helping a company position itself favorably in the eyes of consumers, investors, and regulators. CSR initiatives can also improve employee engagement and satisfaction key measures that drive retention. Such initiatives can even attract potential employees who carry strong personal convictions that match those of the organization.
