Project management can be simply deafened as application of processes, skills, methods, experience and knowledge with the purpose of achieving certain project objectives and this is usually according to the acceptance of the project criteria and this is done and agreed within its parameters. Project management in the healthcare sector is therefore a very important thing that has be looked at and should be carried out by any healthcare organization (Olden & McCaughrin, 2019). To begin with the main function of a healthcare project manager is responsible for overseeing and leading projects that a given healthcare facility or organization is pursuing with the purpose of improving patients safety and improving the general operations. Project management in the healthcare sector has therefore become a very important field because not only does it aim in improving an organization operations and patient’s safety but also this usually helps a lot in managing risks, controlling costs and generally help in improving the outcomes of a given project. Project management has also for a very long time been attributed to providing pragmatic and practical approaches for the general implementation of project management in the healthcare sector. These approaches are the ones that help a lot in ensuring that any project in the healthcare sector does not only succeed but also help in promoting the general goals and missions of the healthcare sector as a whole (Yousefli et al., 2017). This role that project management does in the healthcare sector has been attributed to the success in the different projects that are carried out by the healthcare organizations and also this has helped specifically in ensuring that the different project management steps help in providing the best services to the patients and people in the healthcare field.
