Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to identify all resources needed to complete the project. This includes defining the process for collecting the data from the customer, as well as identifying procurement needs, project requirements, the potential risks, and the estimated costs. The most important part of this process is gaining the knowledge of the current business environment and identifying the expected changes as a result of the implementation of this project. Involving the users therefore, is imperative to the success of this phase. A project requirements matrix, risk assessment matrix, and a cost breakdown are important initial documents for a project and provide the students practice in preparing these documents for a project.
