INSTRUCTIONS and QUESTIONS for the presentation of your Project. INSTRUCTIONS

1- Read the papers provided by the Professor.

2- Answer the questions in the questionnaire.

3- Each answer should contain no more than 200 words.

4- Present your project by uploading the paper in Blackboard.

5- Your paper must contain the question before each answer.

6- Your Project is due on December 17, 2018.

7- The provided papers are the main source for your answers. Although you can use other sources, it is

preferably to limit your basic information to the given papers.

8- In case of using other sources, you need to cite them clearly and in individual mentions.

QUESTIONS:

1 – Explain, in your words, the main DIFFERENCES BEWEEN Mathematics and Statistics.

2 – Provide one example of deductive thinking (Hint: any mathematical deduction)

3 - Provide one example of inductive thinking (Hint: any statistics based on a sample)

4- List t at least three applications of Statistics that will be most closely related to your major (Specify

your present major or the major of your choice).

5 – Provide at least three examples of statistics provided by the government, that are based on a

sample.

6 – Write a summary of the articles provided by your instructor. Mention in case this readings have

somehow changed or clarified some of your previous conceptions about the Statistics.
