For the Capstone Final Project, you will prepare a comprehensive project plan for a socially relevant project of your choice. Your project may be a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aligned with the organization you work for or one with which you are familiar, or it may be an individual project you wish to pursue. If you choose to pursue an individual project is must still incorporate the principles of sustainability and social responsibility.

The project concept paper is used to articulate an idea for a new initiative. The concept is typically reviewed by a team of stakeholders to determine if it has merit and should be pursued. Elements of the project concept paper will be developed further in the business case document and the project charter.

Project Description

· State the purpose of the project. (1–2 paragraphs)

· What problem or issue will the project address?

· How, specifically, will the results of the project address or resolve the problem?

Objectives

· Describe three to five measurable outcomes the project aims to achieve. (2–3 paragraphs)

Project Outcome

· Describe the product, service, or outcome that the project will produce. (2–3 paragraphs)

Project Benefits

· Describe three to five (3–5) tangible benefits that will be realized as a result of the project. (2–3 paragraphs)

· Describe three to five (3–5) intangible benefits that will be realized as a result of the project. (2–3 paragraphs)

Estimated Start and Finish Dates

· What is the estimated start and finish dates for the project?

· Are there any assumptions or constraints associated with these dates (e.g., must start before winter)? (1–2 paragraphs)

Resource Requirements

· Describe, at a high level, what human and non-human resources will be needed for the project. (2–3 paragraphs)

Estimated Funding Requirements

· What is the estimated amount of funding that will be needed for the project? Explain. (2–3 paragraphs)
