Case Study: Chipotle outbreak of E. coli resulting in shutdowns of many of its restaurants in 2015

Important Information for Project

Here is what I look for for in these final projects:

Paper is set up properly in APA format from cover sheet to references page(s). The exec summary and white paper will be in one file.

Executive summary is one double-spaced page, no more. It encapsulates the most salient points of the project without introducing something different or focusing on any one piece.

White paper is well-written, with appropriate headings to organize material. It is properly cited and covers the case and management topics.

References are in correct APA format; every reference resource is cited in the paper and vice versa.

The narrated presentation captures the main points from the white paper. It does not introduce new subject matter or focus on any one area. The narration is smooth and clear.

The slides are professional, without typos, and end with a References slide.

The project should be as seamless as possible so that it is unified as one voice.

Step 1: Conduct Research

Revisit guidelines on conducting research, if needed. Then look at the list below, which provides some topics for your search strategies. In your search, you should consult scholarly resources as well as online resources, newspapers, and business blogs and sites for similar contemporary cases.allocated to you.

Topics to Consider as They Apply to Your Team's Case

1. Principles of teamwork within an organization: What were the practices of this organization, and how did these practices influence the issue and challenges the project team and leader confronted?

2. Best practices for leaders: What practices did the team (or leadership) employ that influenced the outcome, leading to resolution of the crisis, or further exacerbating the situation?

3. How the composition of leadership influences outcomes: Were there unique characteristics of the project team and leaders?

4. Judging the success of project teams, immediate and longer term: Are there any unique issues, challenges, or practices relevant to the leaders, industry, or company?

Step 2: Writing the Paper

Using the research from the previous step, you will write the white paper and executive summary. After your paper and summary are been completed, you should move on to the next step, in which you will create the narrated presentation.

The project should include the followings:

Introduction

Explanation of the Issue

Analysis of the Information

Consideration of alternative viewpoints and conclusions

Step 3: Narrated Presentation

In the previous step, you completed the white paper and executive summary. You must now create the asynchronous presentation that captures the primary argument and supporting facts of your paper.

The presentation should be engaging and should convey:

· a synopsis of the issues of the case

· your analysis of the connection between leadership and outcomes

· any unexpected discoveries in this case

· proposals to mitigate challenges and your rationale for such recommendations

In the final step, the team will submit the paper, summary, and presentation to the correct locations.

Asynchronous Presentations

An asynchronous presentation is a prerecorded presentation for a specific audience to whom you would ideally present in person or online in real time, but cannot for practical reasons. While MS PowerPoint is considered the default presentation tool for presentations, you may consider using other presentation platforms or tools. Be sure the tool supports prerecorded narration. Dedicate enough time to the narrated presentation to get the timing for transitions right, and ensure that the sound is clear and the narration at the right volume. A good asynchronous presentation shares most of the same traits as a good live presentation. Your presentation should not be your academic paper cut into text-filled slides. Rather, consider how you might identify themes to discuss that are supported by pertinent facts from your paper. You are giving a talk to an audience, so your narrative should provide most of your ideas and argumentation. Be sure the themes either flow or transition appropriately from slide to slide. Use images and data visualization (tables, charts, or graphs, for example) where possible.
