Title Page ( title, your name, class, date go here)

Intro: City, population, demographics, why you picked it, what region it is in (ex: North American (N,S,E, or W) , Latin America, European)

Put brief history of city here. Are there any things in the city’s past that shapes the way it is arranged today???? Quality discussion that addresses considerations (History of city or things that have affected the city’s urban structure in the past: could include a certain industry, change in laws, economic decline, colonization, race/ethnicity relations.)

Next point the reader to the observations that you made of the city through Google Earth. Highlight 7 of the terms. Make it flow!

Noticeably, Tulsa is a central place in the region. The idea of Central Place Theory can be seen because Tulsa is the largest city in Northeastern Oklahoma. I can notice from the tan color representing the entire built infrastructure. It services smaller places like Broken Arrow and Sand Springs. Broken Arrow may, in turn, provide larger services for Coweta, an even smaller town. (This could be a good time to find out if Tulsa is older than the smaller surrounding towns or if it emerged around the same time and just boomed…. As always, site your source.)

Figure1: Central Place Theory- This picture shows Tulsa and its surrounding area.

The two images below shows an example of how cities may be divided into districts for certain purposes. The Brady Art District in Tulsa is one example of this.

Figures 2 & 3: Art District - These picture show the Brady Art District near the downtown area and some of the buildings within it.

Try to make the segments of writing between the pictures flow as much as possible and lead into each other.

Paragraph on final thoughts Conclusion: Answer this question: From what you can visibly see in the urban form of the city…what can you learn, know, or find out about this city?

You may also consider talking about if you found anything unexpected or surprising or neat during your scavenger hunt in the city.

Sum up what you told me & have shown me.
