Project 3: Informative PowerPoint (50 points)

Preparing for the Microsoft Certification Exam for PowerPoint

Research what techniques are included on the Microsoft PowerPoint certification exam by going to this site: Microsoft Office Specialist: PowerPoint Associate (PowerPoint and PowerPoint 2019) – Skills Measured. Create a presentation telling other students what these techniques are and how to best prepare for this exam.

Include the following techniques:

· Modify the slide master

· Include a header/footer on slides and handouts

· Modify presentation properties

· Insert and format slides: add slide layouts, duplicate a slide, hide slides, modify slide backgrounds, apply styles to slides

· Insert shapes and modify shapes, apply borders to shapes, resize shapes, apply styles to shapes, order and group shapes, align shapes

· Insert section headers

· Insert and edit Word Art

· Insert hyperlinks

· Insert a table, modify the number of rows/columns, merge cells, apply table styles

· Import data from an outside source

· Insert a chart, modify design and style, add data labels

· Insert a SmartArt, change the color, add extra text (shape) to the SmartArt, animate the SmartArt to appear one by one and in order

· Insert images, crop, apply effects and styles

· Insert media (video, audio), trim timing, set start/stop times, set to play automatically

· Apply transitions between slides using more than one transition, modify effect options

· Animate slide content (entrance, emphasis, exit and motion path) and change effect options, timings and start options

· Add timings and set to run automatically

· Compress media, embed fonts, restrict permissions, remove presentation meta data, check for accessibility issues and check for compatibility issues

On the last slide, include a list of techniques that may be on the certification exam that you do NOT know how to perform.

· Research how to do these techniques, then write HOW to do these techniques in the Speaker Notes area.
