1. Police officers in Los Angeles in the 1980s were brutal as they arrested criminals from ethnic minorities such as male African Americans and Mexicans as well.

2. In some cases, police officers from this city were proactive in encountering situations even when there were no dispatch requests for their services (Net Industries).

3. Police officers working in Los Angeles were also discriminatory in making arrests since there were fewer female suspects arrested compared to male suspects on whom force greatly used.

4. There was great doubt on lack of professional police officers in Los Angeles during the 1980s since most police officers were politically influenced.

5. In their decision making, police from Los Angeles were discriminative especially on issues related to traffic stops and arrests.

6. In the 1980s, police from Los Angeles were coercive towards suspects who were acted in a disrespectful and hostile manner towards them.

7. Police in Los Angeles during the 1980s were also considered as aggressive as they carried out field interrogations making the ethnic communities consider them inhuman.

8. The police in Los Angeles during this period were also ignorant of the laws and regulations controlling their operations that demanded them not to use excessive force.

9. The police officers from Los Angeles were also collaborative themselves during the 1980s to ensure law and order was enforced.

10. During the 1980s, police officers from Los Angeles were considered to be irrational and un-objective as they made arrests (Sklansky).
