I have decided to use ads as the form of the image in this assignment. There are various types of ads, but I have chosen display ads.

Yes, both images portray people. In the first image, there is a picture of a woman preserving leftovers of dry bread and bread crumbs. From the first ad, the government fights against the wastage of food. Some words which display people are "Skinless-the NO waste food." Also, the government encourages people to preserve leftovers and buy carefully. The ads portray people in the sense that hungry people cannot win a war. In the second ad, the words "keep your beauty on duty," dry skin and oily skin displays people. The picture of a woman wiping her face shows people how to take care of their skin.

Yes, the images from both ads have some things in common; for example, they promote a similar kind of message which beauty and hygiene. The first ad shows how to take care of the skin by eating foods rich in minerals and vitamins. On the other hand, the second image gives a message on how to take of both dry and oily skin.

Jean Kilbourne's idea of obsession on women body applies to these images as both ads use women for the advertisement. This idea displayed on the second ad that even you follow the procedure provided your face can’t look exactly like the one shown.

The images display an essential message of beauty and hygiene. Most likely, nowadays, most women strive to be beautiful, and for them, to elegant, they need to eat healthily.
