MIS project
MIS 201-MIS Course Project
The purpose of this project is to provide the students with experience with IS
and its role in business today.
(Submission deadline: 25 June-2020)
1. Project Teams
You can work individually or with a smaller team (each team consists of 3
students). All students in a team are working on the same project.
All team members must take part in all project activities, although
responsibilities may be divided so that different members take lead in different
activities. But, no activity should be done exclusively by a single person.
While the volume of work of each group member on each project component
may not be equal, their contribution to the overall project should equal out.
2. Project report
Any business, big or small, must have a system in place to collect, process,
store and share data. In the past, these tasks required a lot of time and
paperwork. Today, companies use modern technology to streamline and
automate these operations. Information systems are now playing a crucial role
in data processing and decision making. When used correctly, they can
positively impact an organization's overall performance and revenue.
Every team is expected to submit a report of 3000 words about any IS system
and describe its role in business today. The report should contain the
following:
Every report must have a cover page containing: . The course title,
. Group number,
. Project title,
. Submission date, and
. All team-member names.
The second page of each report must detail the breakdown of
individual contributions of each team member to the project.
The rest of the report must address the following Criteria:
What: Cleary mention the topic and introduce it .
What: are the drivers and benefits of the selected system.
How: gather requirements for your project to define the scope. It gets
no simpler than "How this system is work?"
Which: Business Organization – that will work on and ultimately
benefit from the selected system?
References: List all the references (books, journal/conference papers), web pages
(include URL and webpage title) that have been used in the project.
