Columbia Tutor
Columbia tutor is a new business venture where we are determined to give the best educational help to students across the United States with our online tutoring sessions. We are passionate about education and we love working with students. Our teachers are specialized in all sorts of subjects and ranging for those who need help of all ages. We are here to connect with students one-on-one in ways that teachers in classrooms cannot always do with having to help multiple students at once that can sometimes cause distraction. We are here to give each one of our students our undivided attention to meet their educational needs. Our new venture is quick, affordable, and there is no outside specialized training that will need to be done; we hire professional teachers with all subject backgrounds. While it’s always great to meet face-to-face when it's possible, but in today’s world, online tutoring is the way to go. Even when we're not in an era of social distancing, there's nothing quite like calling up a tutor on-demand. We are dedicated to provide the best academic online tutoring to students who are in need.
For the tutors, our business has incredible job flexibility while also giving the opportunity to do meaningful work for the community. The beauty of our business is it lets the tutors work at their own pace and manage their own schedules. Our tutors can have the sense that they are their own boss, who doesn’t want that?! Whether this is a full-time job, a second part- time job, or simply just a hobby that they pick up on the weekends, tutors can make their own hours to what fits their needs and wishes. While operating online, tutors can take on a few or as many students that their availability allows. They can log right off if something comes about, this makes it easier for them rather than in person tutors when one may have a jammed packed schedule and they realize they have other commitments that they need to fit in. The flexibility that Colombia Tutor offers leaves the tutors for great opportunity to supplement their incomes. The schedules are so flexible and require less of a time commitment, as well as they do not involve a commute to a physical location. Because of this, our services will attract better instructors, with many holding advanced degrees in their stated subject areas. Even if you are out of school and know someone that is in need of some educational help, we are the answer for them. We can also advise those who need guidance on resume or cover letter help. We also provide trained professionals who can conduct interviews, so that you are prepared and feel confident for the big day! There is always a need for our brilliant educators, and we are here to make a successful impact in our students!
When you are a tutor, you make an impact on many different students lives and help guide them in the right direction towards success. When helping students achieve a goal, it is very gratifying to watch them succeed. Our mission is to provide excellence service and educate our youth. It is beneficial to the students because we will have thousands of instructors at the student’s beck-and-call, this calls for our procrastinators who realize they need help at midnight, we are here to help! We are also here to serve those who are studying for exams and tests. We offer digital whiteboards, and collaborative text editing so our students feel as if they are sitting right in the classroom. Not only are we here to support the students, but we are here to support the parents as well. With our help, it will elevate some off the stress off mom and dad while they are juggling the rest of the household chores. Especially with e-learning and the mess it has caused, how are parents expected to guide our children through these unknown homework assignments. Today, kids are taught way different than our parents were back in the day, and it causes a lot of confusion. For instance, it takes a 10-step approach to figure out a simple math equation, our parents do not have time for that. Our tutors are here to get rid of that headache and do the work for the parents. For many students, a tutor can change the outcome of their educational career.
With our online tutoring service outside environmental factors can play a crucial role. There are not much political factors that will play a part in our business. Now, if we were to venture out to different countries over time, this could be an issue being that in some countries the web is restricted to its citizens. This would make online tutoring more difficult to perform. Another political factor that will shape our business if there are any changes to the skills required in order for a teacher to be a tutor. As well as any changes in a school’s curriculum with short notice could have an impact. Our tutors will have to following the education system and follow what is required to teach students. Lastly, any government service tax will make Columbia tutor include tax in the tuition fee.
When our economy is in better shape, more parents are going to investigate using our special service for their children. For those kids who could potentially use the extra help, parents won’t mind spending a few extra bucks on their child’s education. Even for those straight A students, parents will be more inclined to use us when their son or daughter is prepping for the ACT exam if they more cash on hand. Parents will not hesitate to branch out and use our services to benefit their children’s educational needs. On the flip side, when the economy is not doing so great, and financials may be tight, we could potentially be a better suitable choice for some households as well. This is because generally speaking, online tutoring is an affordable alternative to regular in person tutoring, since it doesn’t require the live presence of teaching staff and a physical location. This cuts a lot of extra costs. Also, it’s incredibly easy to distribute digital materials, since there is zero manufacturing or shipping cost to account for from copy to copy. As such, providers of online education can sell their learning materials at extremely low prices, while still ensuring a healthy profit for themselves!
For the sociocultural factors, online tutoring reduces the amount of human interaction. It is the price that is being paid with having all the other benefits that online tutoring brings. The lack of social connection works for some children but not necessarily for all. Students who are used to going to school every day may need that in person one-on-one time. They are used to interacting with teachers, friends, and other school staff. Those who learn from behind an electronic display lose this human interaction, which likely plays an important role in social development and mental health. Those who get distracted easily, online tutoring may not be their best option for them. Another sociocultural factor is the parent’s preference on what subject they want their child to learn most. For example, some families may think that getting extra curriculum help in math is more important than a history lesson. It may be difficult to attract those who need help in al subjects.
Some of the technology factors is households having the access to electronic devices in order to successful meet with tutors for their sessions. Not all students have electronic devices, especially in developing countries. Another technological factor is the internet connectivity. Internet connectivity can have a major barrier on online education. Even if students have the necessary devices needed to participate in online sessions, internet connectivity issues are likely to arise at some given point in time. Having a strong connection between the student and the educator is important so that the student stays focused and can hear and see the teachers without any troubles. As technology advances, we will upgrade our tool to better serve those who we are teaching. We will continue to monitor and upgrade our software so we can be up to speed. Virus are never good, but they seem to know when to come at the most unfortunate time. Having a new virus pop up on either end could set back and cause troubles with in the session.
Legal factors include cooperation from publishers, because effective online tutoring will require significant cooperation from educational publishes. We will have to source from those who do not have strict rules on how their materials can be distributed. An example of this is, majority of traditional textbooks cannot be shared digitally. We will have to find those suppliers who are online-friendly publishers.
