Assignment 1.2

Project Summary

The project will be a mega-stadium capable of hosting different indoor games. The project will aim to satisfy the need to host a number of indoor games within the same location. In the past, indoor games have proved hectic to host since no stadium can host them simultaneously. Sports activities to be held inside the stadium include; swimming, fencing, badminton, bowling, kabaddi, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, netball, volleyball, tennis and professional wrestling. A large number of games hosted inside the stadium gives this project a unique complexity. The sporting activities are supposed to run co-currently without any event depending on the other.

The project will involve a number of interested parties who are willing to put their investment into the project. The project will be located on the outskirts of a major city. This will attract more people during sporting activities due to the availability of accommodation within the city. Accomplishment of the project are founded on the knowledge of the project manager who is responsible for the overall project plan. The period within which the project is to be achieved is a subject to a number of factors. Nevertheless the project should take a minimum of three years to be completed.

Project Goals and Objectives

Some of the expected project impacts include easing congestion in the existing stadiums, act as a key towards growth of the city and provide a world class sporting experience. The project is also expected to bring together a host of nations which is a step towards globalization. Globalization has seen the increase in number of people willing to participate in sports. Sporting activities have grown from being a hobby into careers filled with professionals (Pedersen, 2017). Sports has become a part of our daily activities. In the past years, there were only few major sporting activities. The world has experienced an extreme dependency for sport. Every country takes pride in their sportsmen and sportswomen. For this reason, the project has the goal of ensuring that it fulfils the need to participate in games. The primary purpose of participating in any sporting activity is to socialize, compete and have fun. The project’s goal is to ensure that a lot of people converge together to support their favorite teams while enjoying the company of friends and new acquaintances.

The business behind the project has a goal of incubating globalization through sports. The project aligns its goals within the business context. The project also aims to create an environment where its shareholders enjoy maximum profit from their investments. Investing in a growing trend is the most appropriate step during this age. For this reason, the project combines investment with a popular trend. The project therefore has a goal of creating a modern investment which will serve the interests of millions of people. There is a growing concern on modern racism in the world. Creating a masterpiece stadium that will bring together a huge number of people from different races minimizes racism.

The objective of the project is to build a stadium that outstands all the other building surrounding it. The stadium is supposed to seen from far even from outer space due to its visual comportment. The model of the stadium is meant to depict the idea of a city within a city. Achieving a global stadium whose art expresses the idealist utopic world of a sports fan. The stadium is supposed to have a host of buildings inside which will be used for the various activities. The architecture art and science will represent an expression of a ball within a pool. Such a model will give the project a visual presence unchallenged by the surrounding buildings. The quality of the project will be in line with the importance of the structure to the world of supports. Materials used during the process will be of high quality so as to maximize safety.

The project will improve the beauty of the stadium. This will be achieved by creating a stadium which will serve as the city’s landmark. Creating a visual dominant figure will enrich the city’s beauty while ensuring that others benchmark will this project. Upon completion of the stadium, it will serve as an important aerial path used to access the city. The stadium will serve as an example of a futuristic creation of public socialization space.

Project Structure

The project will stand at a height of 100 meter which is higher than any other building. Architectural expressions represent a ball within a swimming pool. Such an artistic expression shows that the project is a sports arena. The site within which the project is constructed will boost the properties of a warehouse built for the purpose of hosting a large number of people. Differentiating the project from other physical features will be its unique design sitting in an open field far from other tall buildings. The structure of the stadium should be monolithic with an outstanding visual significance (Bhate, 2015). The buildings within the stadium will have a less monumental size but will depict a structure similar to their respective sport.

Colors used to decorate the stadium will be unique to the background within which the amphitheater is built. This will create a contrast to the background producing a distinctive coliseum. The routes to access the stadium will converge in the lead of it where public transportation and a parking space will be available. Other access routes will lead to the various gates within the stadium. The stadium will have ten gates with each gate leading into a common arena within the stadium. The structure of the stadium will ease management since different areas will be allocated specific workers. Division of labor during construction will be based on the individual sporting activity given its specific modification.

Stakeholders and their roles

The project targets sport participants together with those applauding their teams. These are the main customers behind the project. The people will access the stadium at a fee subject to a number of economic reasons. Tickets will be available online to ease congestion at the gates. Any participating member will be required to pay an entry fee which can be substituted by a monthly membership premium (Carlos & Martins, 2015). The project also involves sponsors who will oversee the construction of the stadium. Investors will ensure that the project meets its objectives and also receive feedback from the project manager. This group of individuals will receive a portion of profits collected from the stadium. The project will also involve government officials whose role will be to ensure that construction of the amphitheater follows the stadium construction guidelines. Other stakeholders include resource managers who will outsource required resources from vendors and suppliers. They will be responsible for the supplies used to construct the project. Subcontractors will form part of the project team so as to provide extra construction help in building the swimming pools and also maintaining grass inside the stadium.
