Business Process Analytical Plan “As-Is & To-Be” mapping
BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYTICAL PLAN
Business process analysis is a procedure-centric technique that incorporates computer infrastructure and governance methodologies to enhance company efficiency. This explains the procedures involved, the relevant groups, the shared knowledge and the generated documents. It is commonly used in numerous advisory services and applying solutions by large corporations. Such experimental research will support industrial facilitation programs and the financial sector. BPA provides an ideal means to explain and illustrate the procedures involved with diagrams and illustrations that those charged for facilitating trade will readily grasp (Vergidis et al. 2007). Using the study of business processes lets one determine the negative factors of a project and how to solve barriers. The employees will lose a great deal of time and energy without careful research to fix the wrong issues or move from one program to another without business process analysis. It is important to define intermediate moves, bottlenecks, and possibilities for simplification, and to plan process changes. Hence, BPA is an essential resource for many trade cooperation programs involving improvements to the basic procedures and processes. This is also an essential phase in the creation of proposals and strategies, since it offers a summary and review of the actual situation (As-Is), and could even support determine on change of procedures between groups (To-Be). In this paper, I have selected Nestle for developing a business process analysis.
Nestle
Introduction
The company's history trace back to 1860, after two Swiss entities combined to create Nestlé. Nestle started spreading throughout the US and Europe within the next century (Mowbray, 2018). During WWI and WW Wand World War II the business indicated its growth primarily by widening its food range from baby formulas and powdered milk to many other items. The company's goods include mineral water, nutritional goods such as cereals, medicinal and infant food products, frozen foods, poultry food, tea and dairy items. Nestlé's mission statement is "Good Food, Good Life," that is a promise that offers consumers with nutritious beverages and nutritional items to enhance their lives. Nestle has 447 plants located in 189 countries all over the globe (Mowbray, 2018). The Nestle is a large corporation which has spread all over the world providing the entire globe with its healthy food and beverages. Thus, it seemed to be a suitable organization to develop a business process analysis.
Triggers of BPM
The triggers of business process management for Nestle is the organization itself. The high growth of the organization triggers the need for business management and integration of processes. This is to ensure that all the Nestle groups across the world are integrated and do not miss out on any important transaction of the company. Furthermore, another driver of BPM is the management of the company. Since the company has expanded all over the world, the management needs to have greater control over the information that flows around the company. Also, it will help the management create a culture where they can be updated to make an informed decision which would be profitable for the whole company.
Business Process Management for Nestle
The BPM that I believe is suitable for an organization that has operations in 189 countries is the central software that allows integrated technical solutions involving planning, review, tracking and monitoring. By providing an easy-to-understand diagram of how entities, procedures, and people are meant to communicate, it will facilitate process collaboration and simplification to change the way organizations work. A software that can be implemented in Nestle for this purpose is Nimbus Control software (Nimbus). The software facilitates communication across all the groups of the company which would be suitable for Nestle as it has operations in multinationals. The implementation of BPM will result in the installation of the software in the IT network of the company including all groups across the world.
As-Is
Communication plays a vital role for the managers of an organization as it acts as a strategic framework and a catalyst for introducing potential structural improvements. This acts as a means of encouraging morale by providing a direct message to staff on how activities can be done and what changes are expected. Currently, the company follows upward and downward communication. The Nestle Company's structure is structured in a manner that handles transparent contact channels upwards and downwards, which provides a really pleasant working atmosphere for workers and improves the productivity of the job. There is also support for horizontal communication at Nestlé. Managers have shown their responsibility within this structure, and transparent horizontal collaboration requires everyone to function for one's growth and accomplishment of the company's profits (Bill, 2017).
Considering the communication across the groups, Nestle has established a communication team. Throughout the core of Nestlé, the Corporate Communications team serves a significant act as driving power. This functions actively with other divisions and departments to draw in the outside perspective, to question intelligently and help form the communication strategy for the business (Nestle). The communications team supports clients in meeting corporate targets by designing and executing constructive public and internal relations and interaction strategies. They offer advice, policy, and preparation, and ensure that strong communication around the organization provides clear and reliable messages to both internal and external audiences.
To-Be
The communication process for the whole Nestle group would be handled by centralized software such as Nimbus Control Software. Although, the Communication team that is responsible for handling the communication currently can be appointed to handle the software once it is installed across the Nestle groups. By adopting the software that integrates the communication of all the groups of Nestle in a centralized system, the company would obtain many benefits. The company would be able to make an effective decision that would help it move in the right decision at the right time. For instance, the biggest complexity that the company faced was the failure of its baby milk formula as it marketed the product as a substitute to mother's milk. The company could have used centralized software to track the decline in its sale and make an informed decision to apologize to its customers for false marketing. The software would have enabled the company to react to such situations timely where the communication would be integrated and the trends could be graphed and monitored using the software. Thus, the implementation of such software will provide long-term benefits to the company allowing it to gain a competitive advantage in the food and beverage industry which is a highly dense industry with the extensive number of competitors.

Cost-Benefit Analysis
|
Benefit |
Cost |
|
The obvious benefit that the implementation of BPM would be the long-term impact it will have on the profitability and enhanced operations of the company. |
The direct cost that would be incurred for implementing the business process management is the cost of the software that will integrate communication. |
|
After the to-be process, there will be cost reduction as the software will lead to better decision making resulting in ineffective decisions and fewer wastes. |
The team would need to be trained to use the newly introduced software. As the Communication Team is in charge of handling the communication across groups of Nestle in different nations, it will need extensive training to handle the communication of the company through the software. |
|
The company will have enhanced services that would be translated to the consumers. |
The implementation of the software across the whole organization will be time-consuming.

Conclusion
To conclude, the paper covers the case for Nestle company. Nestle is a Swiss multinational company that specializes in providing food and beverages to its customers. It is well-known for its healthy food products and people put their trust in Nestle for health reasons. The paper analyzes the need for business process management in Nestle. Business process management is an integrated process that has three components: people, process and technology. BPM consists of several activities that are performed in coordination so that the events are interrelated and coordinated by a centralized system which would allow the coherent functions to be translated down the organization. It results in the improvement of the operations of the company. The trigger that I found to drive the need for BPM in Nestle is the organization and management. The organization has a high growth that requires the functions and operations of the whole organization to be coordinated. Furthermore, the management needs a centralized system to make informed decisions about the company and control the flow of information across the organization and its groups across various nations. The suitable BPM for Nestle that is suggested in this paper is a centralized system for handling communication such as a software that can be installed in the systems of the company to allow timely communication in Nestle across the entire world. The software will help the company to stay updated with all its groups allowing the management to enhance decision making. Currently, Nestle has a Corporation Communication Team that is responsible for communication across the countries. The only cost for the company would be the cost of the software and the training cost that the company will have to bear to train the employees.
