Business Need |
This project needs to be done to offer employees the best benefits available. This project will help employees with their overall health, therefore leading to less insurance claims and higher retention during the annual employee benefits enrollment period. This benefit is a business need, because employees have asked for this benefit previously and it ensures the health of the employee is prioritized rather than procrastination. Again, implementing this benefit will lead to a financial gain by the organization because member retention and new member enrollment will increase. |

Requirements |
· Need to look up average cost of nonemergency transportation rides in Washington state. · Need to look at how many nonemergency transportation rides would be ideal and how many the stakeholders will approve. |

Approval Requirements |
· Need to make sure there are options in all of the of our counties. · Need to make sure the cost of the claims is in line with our yearly budget. · Need to make sure that the number of rides is sufficient and meets Medicare standards. |

Add a nonemergency transportation benefit into current employee benefits package. |

· Milestone one: Research nonemergency transportation companies and average cost will be done by August 31, 2002. · Milestone two: The benefit books will be written and ready for approval by November 30, 2022. · Milestone three: All employees will be trained and prepared for open enrollment by September 15, 2023. |

· Research completed by August 31, 2022. · Benefit books written and approved by internal products team by November 31, 2022. · Benefit books sent to Medicare for our bid for the 2023 year by January 1, 2023. · Approval by Medicare by March 31, 2023. · Training plan created and approved by August 1, 2023. · Training started September 1, 2023 and finished by September 30, 2023. · Annual enrollment period starts, and project is finished by October 1, 2023. |
