Direct and Manage Project Work

Project management plans guide the work that is supposed to be done by project managers and other people that work in the project management teams. Thus, the act that involves the performances of project managers and the leading of projects regarding the project management plan that has been designed to guide the execution of the project at hand can be said to be directing and management of projects and the work that is involved in the projects that are being worked on by companies and organizations. While working on individual projects, the project’s manager implements all the changes that have been approved to see through the work in the project. When this is being done, the objective that is with the project manager the achievement of the objectives that the project has. The main advantage that is associated with direct and project work is that is the ultimate guide of the project work that offers the overall management of the activities within the project. This paper is going to discuss the details of direct and manage project work that is affiliated with the project plan that was designed in the previous assignment.

In many cases, the majority of the tasks that are handled by the HR of an organization is the regulation of the performances in the management of projects that are being worked on by an organization (Pollock, 2018). This involves the creation of a good working environment that creates room for effectively adequate productivity of the employees in the organization to meet the project’s demands. While working on any given project, the two main considerations that should be kept in mind by the project managers and the people working on that given project is the demands of the consumers of the services or the products that are being produced by the company and the demands of the company’s stakeholders. This means that when this is done, the project will have successfully met its purpose and objectives. One of the proven techniques that is associated with the attainment of the stakeholders and the consumers of respective outcomes that a project yield is through the implementation of the CRS actions while considering the project’s plan. Some of the CRS actions that can be taken into consideration by the project managers are “environmental and social activities that go beyond the mere economic interests that traditionally characterize companies (Herrera & Heras-Rosas, 2020).”

Various strategies can be employed by the company to see through effective performance management while working on any given project. They include:

In everything we do out, there are chances of poor performance or none at if fail to understand what we do. Similarly, a project’s failure is guaranteed if the people involved in the project’s execution are not familiar with the details that are on the project plan. Being one of the tasks that project managers are tasked with, the communication of the project to the employees and everyone else working on the project is a requirement. It is important to note that the employees of a company are unable to meet the company’s “performance expectations or company goals if they are not clearly outlined, making this our first step toward effective performance management (Pollock, 2018).” The major reasons that lead to the failure of projects that are important to a company are failing to provide adequate clearance to the employees. So that this can be avoided by such companies and project managers at large, there is need for project managers to have a clear definition of the project plan and communicate it to the employees so that they can be able to meet the company’s expectations as well as the demands of the consumers and the stakeholders that have invested in the company.

A project cannot work out without the tracking of the performance. Tracking the performance of how the project is doing is very important because it helps the project manager have the ability to have a clear understanding of the project’s progress and its closeness to the objectives that are behind the project. Thus, this will help the project manager have a better understanding of the project’s direction. Logically speaking, tracking the project’s performance helps the organization have the ability to determine how close it is to successful completion. This implies that they will be able to create an effective budget that will help them drive the project towards its successful completion (Tweedie et al., 2018). In the previous assignment, it was stated that the creation of the project’s budget is hard to state and come about because of the unpredictability of the changes that occur while the project is being executed. Thus, tracking the project while it is being executed can help anticipate future changes that might be faced by the organization while they handle the project. This implies that the creation of a budget that effectively suits the project at hand can be done by estimating the coats that can be brought about by the future changes that can be experienced by the organization.

Communication is very essential in the implementation of a project. This is because it helps spread understanding of the project that is being worked on. Communicating the performance feedback is essential because it helps the stakeholders and the company’s executives have a clear understanding of the project’s future which helps them make relevant and informed decisions that are related to the project’s fate. It is therefore important to note that good “performance feedback reinforces strong skill sets and positive behaviors while showing opportunity areas with a clear path for improvement (Pollock, 2018).” So that the company’s management can have the ability to track the performance of the project and make timely decisions, there is a need for the project manager to offer frequent performance feedback.

Various reasons could lead to the closure of the project by the company. Closing out the company’s project can be done to redeem the company from investing so much on a project that is more likely to yield less. The strategies that have been suggested herein to have a hand in the effective performance are the key to determining whether or not a project should be terminated. The following phase of this paper is going to discuss the actions that s can be taken by a project manager to determine the closure of a project based on the previous section’s discussion.

After the project manager has communicated the project’s goals to the team that is working on the project at hand, the project manager then starts to monitor the performance and the execution of the project, observing the manner at which the project overcomes the milestones that are encountered by the team as they progress with their work on the project. Tracking the project will help the project manager understanding the direction that the project is taking. This means that if the project is getting more difficult for the team or developed complications that could lead the company to a significant financial loss; the consideration of the project’s termination is considered by the company. Thus, the following steps are done by the project manager before recommending the closure of the project by the company.

1. Determining how serious the loss or difficulty might affect the company will help determine the risk that the company is more likely to face. This implies that the project manager can calculate the risks then inform the company’s board who will then communicate to the stakeholders.

2. The decisions that are made by the board members is determined by the recommendations and the communication of the project’s fate by the project manager. Thus, after they have determined that the project cannot be good for the company, a withdrawal from the project becomes the decision that is made by the project managers.

The management of the project calls for communication. This is because communication helps the employees understand the project’s demands which help them act accordingly so that they can meet the project’s demands. The project manager tracks the project and determines its direction. It has been discussed that effective and frequent communication of the project’s direction to the board can help the company’s board make effective decisions for the organization.
