Adjustment to The Different Culture

I am from a tiny town in India. I used to speak and write the native language which calls Gujarati. I graduated high school from my country in the native language. During my high school, every single subject was in the native language. I had barely one subject call English where I did not concentrate a lot on that subject because we generally speak in the native language. At that time people were not attention to the English language because in my town all over the place people use my native language, my parents placed me in the native language school. After a few years of graduation, my family decided to come to America. Where America has a different culture than us. They speak the English language, they celebrate different holidays, different learning processes then our culture. I moved here four years ago. I did not understand the English language, therefore I cannot go anywhere because people speak a different language than the native. I decided to learn this language to support me to adapt to this modern culture and obtain extra knowledge about it. When I learned to join new culture taught me that English language education is help me to learn new rules, communicate with people, and understand the modern culture.

Learning new language rules is a huge challenge for me in different cultures. This language has different rules from my native language. In my native language I had different regulations for the speak and write than this modern culture language. In this language where I had to concentrate on the language itself - alphabet, spelling, sounds, and rules of grammar. For this understanding, I started to watch videos on the internet to understand a few factors. After few months later I enrolled in ESL classes to understand stepwise where I had to face an extremely difficult challenge to learn these rules. Many times, I feel to give up, but I stand with that except I studied a few rules to confront the people. However, I slowly learned that the rules of this language helped me to live easily in this new American culture. Later, I managed this language of modern culture.

Following this challenge, I had to face an additional problem is that communication. For the native speaker people have struggled to communicate with different cultures people. When I used my native language to communicate in my country however, in America I must change language to communicate with them when it was very hard for me. Earlier I learned rules when I met anyone for communication with them, it was incredibly tough and difficult to understand them. I did not speak with anyone where I felt afraid and despised myself. For the resolution I began to watch English movie expressions translate in native language words to easily understand conversation. After I learned rules and understand basic words, it is easy to communicate with people and they create a new connection in modern culture.

Now days I learned to understand the culture and truly importantly. Before these two-stage studied, I could not attend any event in this modern culture because I did not understand their policy and I did not communicate with people. when I come to America later a few times, I went with my cousin in a holiday event where I was so confused, and I felt alone in their community because I did not understand them. They celebrate so different then my country. However, from my last two-stage, I learned to communicate with people and understand basic rules. It is very beneficial to join holidays event or any of this modern cultural event where I understand easily. Last year I went to the 4th of July event, the day that represents the Announcement of Independence and the birth of the United States of America. Where I enjoyed and understand easily.
