The dark web is a region in the internet that is rendered by many so dangerous and remote in explaining how it works. The issue with dark web is that no one controls the premise, its like a no-man’s land that guarantees anonymity to all its users. The problem created by dark web revolves around the use of internet to do illegal activities without people being held accountable for the actions by law enforcement agencies. The dark web provides a platform for all nasty and illegal activities such as child pornography exchange, selling of firearms, drug deals and selling of stollen personal information such as credit cards and bogus documents.

The time frame for the activities taking place is so huge that the dark web works all through 24 hours. The issue is a problem because its so unethical for one to commit crimes and still get out with them, terrorism and other features are highly supported in the dark web. The people in there nobody knows the other unless personal disclose, the people use encryption, hidden servers and random IPs and URLs that change randomly making it hard to trace individuals.

The problem affects all internet users as they can be victims of cybercrimes committed through dark web and the situation worsens when the persons involved in such goes without punishment due to the platforms provided. The effects and the magnitude of dark web is that, it covers world worldwide in the scope. Innocent people become victims of harsh and brother attacks exposed through cybercrimes. Illegal products sold through black market in the dark web such as armors and guns are used to support terrorism and that affects everyone. Selling of illegal animal parts such as ivory leads to poaching that affects the wildlife and creates extinction of animal species. It is important to fix the problem as the government has been fighting some notorious websites in the dark web that supply drugs as the effects of the group cause great harm than good to the entire world, in comparison between the pros and cons. The risk is much high until the problem is solved as new ways and more serial attacks will be evident as a majority of people will be exposed to more harm.

The point in question is important because as an individual, everyone is happy with the advancements of technological knowledge that is at hand and people can say loves have been bettered, however, as we continue to back up information to cloud and other IOT developments becoming much higher, hackers are evidently getting better every day and the information can be leaked or sold to people in the dark web and can be used a source of assaults and attacks to people and threats that cause attacks. The effects may be different depending with an individual but in one point or the other every individual is at risk because of legalization of dark web. Computer scientists should be in front line in taking concerns with dark web as the knowledge used in creating the web design can be used in the front role of the government helping retrieve and block sites that serve as highway for drugs and illegal products in the dark web. Scientists are the brains of any regulation.

The dark web took real shoot evident in the early 2000 but hidden internet had been evident as early as old as the computers even in 1970’s students would use ARPAnet to sell cannabis to fellow students. The dark web was originally started by the government in aid for spies to communicate with government agencies without much exposure and secret agents to be able to communicate with lots of anonymity but then people stated using it for illegal reason and advent of browsers like TOR onion made it worse. Government have tries to abolish dark web but have not been able to abolish it all the bad sites as the are working with anonymous people hard to trace their origins. Strategies need be implemented to curb all the activities at hand.

Computer scientists can be of great important in helping control how the effects of cybersecurity that sell malicious content that can affect organizations. Development of strong firewalls and security measure that control and filter information that enter to a network can play a great role in fighting cybercrime presented greatly from dark web.

The information is still limited in finding real hard solution on how to control people in the dark web, the solution can be found in changing hoe the dark eb works but the challenges is so great in coming up with solutions as no one controls the dark web hence making it had to control it. The entire operation of dark web is still not clear as how the products are transported and business done can create a great rapport in coming up with solutions to the issues.
