Dear Sir
I hereby write to inform on the Lake House project completion. The project has been completed as per the project schedule with all the 6 mansionettes fully built as per the design. The project involved building 6 assorted size rental units on a 500 by 500 feet piece of land.
The construction project involved performance of various tasks so as to successful complete it. The tasks include: laying of foundation, concrete forming and pouring for floors, masonry works, roofing, mobilization of onsite requirements installations, installing finishes, plumbing, electrical and heating and ventilation systems installation. A project schedule was developed using a Gantt chart to control the activities and ensure smooth flow of the work. This Gantt chart provided the estimated time for the activities ensuring that the project tasks were completed on time.
The project actual budget did not deviate from the estimated budget which shows that the resource awarding activity to each task was correct. The success of this operation can be attributed to the successful development of the work breakdown structure. The work breakdown structure was used to develop the project schedule and the budget. The time for individual tasks completion was estimated together with the resources required in terms of equipment, human labor and material. This facilitated in the successful development of the project budget. The project progress was continuously compared with the budget every end week to ensure that it did not deviate from the budget and corrective measures put in place. This was a control measure to avoid overbudget and wastage of project material.
The final inspection report will be analyzed in the final meeting that will consist of the project manager, the general contractor and the stakeholders. This will be compared with the project plan to affirm that everything was done as per the plan and completed as required. Any challenges that arose in the project will also be discussed and how they were solved and documented. Changes done to the original plan during the project progress will be discussed and documented. After the meeting these members will go round the site inspecting and confirming that the project has been done accordingly and the mansionettes are ready for sales to customers. After this the project manager will officially handover the project to the stakeholders together with the reports.
Yours sincerely
(Herbert Greene), Project Manager
