Printmaking and Photography (Discussion)

Printmaking and photography have been used everyday since it was invented. For centuries pictures have allowed us to physically see what was captured and they allow us to see many things we would normally never see. That information has been used to rally nations to a cause- such as propaganda used for war, other uses include marketing, and education. As time progressed- technology also progressed. Now microscopes can take pictures of cells in our body and telescopes allow us to see into distant galaxies. The world has been majorly impacted by photographs in ways many people don't even think about. 

Photography particularly effected me in everyway from what I eat, to where I vacation, to the music I listen to.  When ordering food at fast food I will always choose the picture of the burger that looks the best. If I want to travel I can use the internet to decide where I want to go and I will be flooded with all sorts of pictures. When I listen to music there is always some sort of picture behind the song title- normally the album cover. Photographs can sell, inform, and educate.
