Principle of Art: I and the Village

The artist uses a unity principle because of the different colors that he uses. Colors like Blue, Green, White and Red. He also uses different sizes and shape. The artists use emphasis, this is why both eye’s are bigger and the man eye’s are bigger and also by choosing a green color for the man’s face.

Principles of Art similarly and differently are:

Pattern: Both art work make use of element of open space.

Emphasis: The River is on the sculpture is on the sculpture of the woman while I and the Village, the emphasis is on the man with green face cap.

Balance: I and the Village the artist make use of symmetry while in the River the artist makes use of asymmetry.

Unity: The way the woman is position show disunity while I and The Village there is a unity of colors, sizes and shape.

The sculpture of a woman on a stand that is upward position, her leg are apart from each other and both legs are up in the air. Her head seen to have fallen off. Pictures also show road path, trees, houses and grass.

Principle of Art: The River

The position of the image indicates that the artist used the principle of Balance in the art work. The woman is not properly positioned.
