Comment; the picture above shows the conditions that the pastors and religious ministers were subjected to. The picture shows David Barrow, who was a pastor of the Mills Swamp Baptist Church in Virginia. He and another ministering brother identified as Edward Mintz were conducting a church service when a gang attacked them. The gang took to plunge the two men of God. They gang pressed into the mud, almost succeeding in drowning him in the mud. His colleague was also plunged into the mud, but only once. Before the two men could change their clothes, the gang drove off with them.
