According to US Department of Health and Human Services (2017), breaches which involved the loss of unencrypted devices containing the patient`s electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) led to the infringement of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Protection vulnerabilities together with threats of unencrypted mobile devices and laptops were faced by children and these breaches resulted in the loss of the devices which contained the health information of the patients.
