The project highlighted fraud risk factors at Urgent Medical Device Inc.
The project identified the business ID that were vulnerable to fraud
It explained the solutions to risk factors, among then include:
Establishing internal controls
Reducing level of pressure
varying the weights of products
The project focused on fraud at Urgent Medical Device Inc. There are some business ID that were affected by fraud. As such, the project identified the business ID that were vulnerable to fraud.
The risk factors that triggered fraud at the organization include pressure exerted by the management on distributors; as such, the distributors had to persuade customers to make orders with the aim of increasing sales. However, not all orders made by customers were processed but the organization had to pay the distributors for the sales orders even before they were delivered.
Furthermore, the organization lacked effective control measures that could promptly monitor cases of fraud. For instance, there was no control on the sales orders that had not been shipped
Some items had same weight; therefore, some expensive products could be swapped with the less expensive.
Therefore, curbing fraud entail eliminating the risk factors such as avoiding pressure, initiating control measures and varying the weights of the products.
