Cape town is characterized by two languages; English and Afrikaans. They also observe two main religions; Christianity which is mostly Protestantism and Catholicism and the Islam. However, the Islam plays a major influence on most of the population (Levenson, 2017). The culture of Cape town is diverse with many people emerging as experts in medicine and south Africa finest writers.
Cape Town lies on the 34th latitude South, together with Casablanca, Los Angeles and Sydney. However, as in the city of Cape Town itself, the weather on the Cape Peninsula is quite unique. The climate in cape town is typically tropical and he landscape is well defined because it is a coastal city (Hoffmann, Verboom&Cotterill, 2015). It is therefore suitable for tourism and other economic activities such as construction of hotels.

In Cape Town, there is a direct link between the environment and the people. The good climate even during winter enables the continuation of economic activities which are a source of livelihood for the population (Hoffmann, Verboom&Cotterill, 2015).
SIMILARITIES/DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GLOBAL REGIONS
There are various similarities between these two regions. First both of them have good climatic conditions such that economic activities are year round. Secondly, they are both cities of mixed races and religion.

The first difference is that Cape town is a coastal city whereas Elizabethtown is not. The major economic activity in Elizabethtown is trade because of the construction business whereas in Cape town it is the tourism.
