World conflict and inspiration
What current conflict and global issue inspired your research this semester?
The current conflict that inspired my research this semester was that racism and discrimination are so big right now and such a big deal, especially revolving around police in America and people of a different race. Also, I have seen so many news stories about colored people especially Indians that wear turbans getting discriminated against for wear turbans and them not doing anything wrong.

Project Challenges
How did your project evolve over time? What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
My project evolved a lot over time, I had a hard time trying to narrow down my topic. I did a lot of research and it helped me choose specific ideas that helped me understand my topic and to narrow down on it.

What are the three most interesting, important or significant things you've discovered about your topic?
The three most interesting things I have discovered about my topic is Germany, politicians have had conflicting views on immigration policies. Also, racism has allowed people to blame Muslim migrants for rape, as opposed to blaming the loose German regulations that may actually solve the problem. Lastly, American institutions have largely become engrained with racism.

What is one thing about history you've learned or one skill you feel you've gained through the experience of this project?
One skill that I’ve learned from my experience with this project is how to take a broad topic and narrow it done to the most important information. I also learned about what is going on in our world today and made me realize that we have a lot to fix.
