PREGNANCY-- HISPANIC TEENS 3

Response from my professor after submitting the paper.

Some grammatical problems, like second sentence page 1. What is meant by"manging" the pregnancies--unclear. What do you seek to do?  Prevent unwanted pregnancies, or prevent dropouts? Or are you trying to find out if pregnancies among Hispanic girls are the only reason for dropout rates among highschoolers? A more clearly worded set of Hypotheses, IV and DV will clarify what you mean to say.  Needs more regarding other items which needed to be included in your "Statement" (see "Checklist").

1. Statement of the Problem (or Objective of your Study)

Pregnancy in Hispanic teens has been regarded as a significant health problem in DeKalb county. The study seeks to determine the rate at which pregnancies affect the school dropouts in DeKalb county. It is more important to study the cause of the pregnancy in the Hispanic teens in the DeKalb county to help in devising some ways which will change the life of the Hispanic Teens and improve their health status.

The study aims at researching the causes of the pregnancy on the Hispanic teens, which has led to high school dropouts in the county. The study will also uncover the effects of teenage pregnancies on the health status and teens' lives in the future. Based on the fact that most of the Hispanic teens drop out of the school due to the pregnancies, the study geared at determining the extent to which the Hispanic teen pregnancy contributes to the school dropouts.

Doing a study on the causes of pregnancy on the Hispanic Teens and its effects on their healthy development in the society will help in devising some ways which can help to prevent pregnancies and the necessary steps to be used to control the pregnancies. Managing the pregnancies will help to reduce the percentage of school dropouts. The study also will help to draw recommendations on how Hispanic teens who fall victim to pregnancies can be accommodated in the schools to prevent dropouts.

The hypothesis of the research is if the pregnancy is the only cause of the school dropouts on the Hispanic teens in the county. The other alternative hypothesis of the study is that pregnancy is the leading cause of school dropout among Hispanic teens. The Null hypothesis will be the pregnancy is a minor reason for the school dropouts among Hispanic teens. A formative assessment should, therefore, be conducted to provide proper feedback that can be used to reduce pregnancies among Hispanic teens.
