SECTION II: COOP PROGRESS (Please write-in the description in the expandable space given)

List of major tasks/projects and responsibilities you have been assigned to (Evidence showcasing the work performed to be enclosed in separate file). Attendance the orientation meeting and take turne alround the hotel with the manager to know to know all employees and facilities. learn about new system (Oasys system). Transfer staff information from old system to the new one (daily from week 2 to 4). Organize employee's files in drawers (Take one week). Make new files for new employees who are joined to the work recently and create the contracts paper. Take classes for 4 days about: *Learn how to use health insurance website (Bupa website). *Learn how to renew the work permit of employees through the Ministry of Labor website. *Learn how to use aljawazat website (muqeem wesite). *Learn how to use GOSI website. Take the necessary procedures to renew the medical insurance cards. Fill out the hospital document for the comprehensive examination and attach a personal picture to each employee. Work on reservation airline tickets for annual employee vacation. Visit the food warehouse to check the expired product. Collect the letters from other departments that must be to approve it by HR manager such as vacations, worming and others activities forms. (daily)
List of experiences/skills gained 1- Acquisition the daily managerial practice. 2- Learn how to utilization the new HR system perfectly 3- Improve social communication skills. 4- Improve writing knowledge. 5- Time management. 6- Improve my knowledge about government transactions for employees (Iqama – GOSI )
Problems or challenges faced in achieving your daily tasks and your attempted solutions This the first chance for me to work in the labor market, So it's normal to face some challenges or problems such as: 1- In the beginning I was not familiar with the place of work and I have take a little time to work out the systematic of this place. 2- I faced challenge to save all employees names because there is a lot of nationalities was hard to remember all of these names. I tried to save this names by repetition all days. 3- Hard to deal with other gender (men). Tried to take every things easily.
Brief explanation for major contribution(s) Diversity in the workplace means bringing people togather of different ethnic backgrounds and religions. Diversity in workplace is a good thing for employees to exchange the benefit, experience and knowledge. Sometimes diverity will also affect bad impact to the work place and appear some misunderstand and conflict between employees. After I spend 5 weeks at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Yanbu, I observed there is a lot of communication problems between employees because high rate of diversity and nationalitiesa in their work place. My contribution it will be finding diversity management in the Holiday Inn Hotel. In order to manage and utilize its diverse workplace effectively without any difficulties and obstacles in communication between all employees. |
