In general, what I have seen in the past in evaluating Excel Project 3 submissions has been very impressive. There is one area where I believe with a little polish, focus, and adjustments a huge improvement could be made in many of the PPT submissions and scores, PPT Slide 4.

Here is an interesting YouTube presentation (Life after Death by Powerpoint) that illustrates the point about brevity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRIcD7v-Vm8 .

The message is that a Power Point slide is NOT a Microsoft Word document from a horizontal perspective. To be effective, brevity IS EVERYTHING. The Rule of 7’s is a very helpful guideline. A bullet should be no more than SEVEN words. Complete sentences are not necessary (or possible). Be brief!

Now the other issue, and this is on Slide 4. Organization on this slide is key, here are the requirements and one view to organize slide 4:

Requirements:

Text Description automatically generated

Suggested outline (with the Rule of 7’s each bullet and sub-bullet should contain a maximum of seven words:

---Findings (major bullet) -- Slide 2 Finding (sub-bullet) -- Slide 3 Finding (sub-bullet)

-- Recommendations (major bullet) -- Slide 2 Recommendation (sub-bullet) -- Slide 3 Recommendation (sub-bullet)

Accuracy, organization, and brevity are key components of a Power Point presentation.
