For this week's reflection, I want to have you conduct a true "reflection". Look back on the semester and each different historical discussion we've had, consideration of theoretical work, discussions of user empathy and HCD, and answer the following prompts:

• What is the key difference between HCD and other established methods and perspectives? In particular, be sure to discuss HCI and Waterfall, in addition to contemporary approaches like Agile and Scrum.

What is the role of theory in HCD? How have you learned to view theory as a component of a design framework?

What differing insights can we gain from users in terms of data collection? How does qualitative data differ from quantitative in considering HCD? What problems are best solved by each?

When faced with an observed problem, gap, or mandate, what would be your general first steps in pursuing a solution approach?

Finally, conclude by discussing why, in your understanding of HCD/HCI, it is not enough to simply approach a solution from a singular perspective (yours/your group's). What are the risks and costs associated with this approach?
