Decide upon the audience you wish to direct your writing
Are you writing for your future children?
Are you writing to your Grandmother?
Are you writing for your boss?
Are you writing for your therapist?
Are you writing for your inner child?
Submit your Topic Analysis by Week 2

Begin to think about your Final Paper
In order to enjoy the writing process, you MUST begin writing on your topic early
Begin with pre-write activities
Make decisions about your audience
Decide on the type of essay you wish to use for each chapter (some may wish to use the same essay type for all 3 chapters)
Topic development using different essay types
You may wish to develop your topic with each chapter
One example might be to use a “Definition Essay” for Chapter 1, and a Process Essay for Chapter 2, and a Persuasive Essay for Chapter 3
Sometimes it works well to use a Narrative-Personal Esssay for Chapter 1 which describe a personal experience, and then Chapter 2 and 3 might be Pro-Con Essays
