PowerPoint Presentation Explanation

If you are unfamiliar with using Microsoft PowerPoint, this information may be useful when doing the week 1 assignment.

Title Slide: include the name of the assignment, your name, and the date the assignment is due.

 

Content Slides: The slide should contain bullet points or talking points. The majority of the text goes in the Speaker Notes section. ( See the PP Template example for details.) The bullet points/talking points cover the highlights of what you will be discussing. The detailed text describes the concepts in detail. This is where you would include citations for the references.

 

Reference slide: Provide a list of APA formatted references. The references should display in alphabetical order by the first word.  [Note, every summative assignment in this class requires a list of APA formatted references and citations.] 

 

Background design, pictures, and graphs: You are welcome to use background colors or designs to help make the slides interesting. Pictures and graphs can be included to complement the bullet point items. If you use pictures and graphs you must include a citation and reference where the pictures and graphs were found.

 

Note, if you did not create the information, graphs, or other material from scratch, it means that an APA formatted citation is needed.
