Target Market

After my graduation, I would prefer to work in a position that deals with software, web development. My major is Computer Information System, the major is vast in the computer field where you have several opportunities to choose from, it can range from cyber-security to system administrator to developers and programmers. I am mostly interested in programming and developing; hence a web developer/designer would be a perfect job for me. A web designer puts people/client's concept and ideas to reality in a beautiful presentation web pages. It is teamwork rather than alone, and I like working with people, getting to learn from them and apply my knowledge.

I would like to start from a small to medium scale company because it will help me to learn and experience a variety of areas from web development to system analysis. After looking for a current opening in Web development, I found a job opening of a Junior Web and UI Designer at Power Digital Marketing based on California. I think this job would be a perfect fit for me as I look at web development and they use similar software called Shopify, which I am familiar with. Also, another major factor would be the location, California is the place to be for IT professionals due to its diverse employment opportunity. Upon scanning for job match probability, it gives a percentage of 40%. However, I will be graduating after 2 semesters during which I will be learning about UI/UX, adobe and a lot more skills which will satisfy the remaining requirements.

Product

If I look at myself as a product in the market that is for sale. It would contain features and characteristics that can help in solving a problem efficiently, organizing tasks to complete it proficiently without any delays. In the result of the Myers Briggs Test, I got ENFJ. "E" stands for Extraverted and I am usually open and motivated by the outside world of people and things. "N" stands for Intuitive and I agree with what Intuitive means, as I like to make things out of what is available. "F" stands for Feeling, I feel bad when anyone is angry or fighting, I try my best to help resolve their problem as I believe this only leads to negativity and nothing else. I like to start my day with a goal and a target to complete them by a given amount of time, it relaxes my aura which matches a personality trait by Briggs called Judging characteristics. In simple words, I can offer a potential company an open mind to take new ideas and thoughts of everyone else with optimism and can develop or work on any project from scratch or complete from whatever is left. Furthermore, web developing is teamwork and there may sometimes be negative actions among the team members which I can handle to avoid any further damage to the company in terms of time and money.

Looking at a technical point of view, I have worked on various Shopify projects that I have gained sufficient experience in SEO optimization, metadata handling, broken links, etc. which will help in ranking the website higher in popular search engines like Google and Bing. On top of that, I can craft and design beautiful homepage banner, ads, to make the website look beautiful and professional.

Price

The starting salary for an entry-level or junior web developer is $50084 with other benefits like commission, profit sharing and bonus raising to $4000. After 4 to 5 years of experience, the salary is likely to increase up to $65909, according to PayScale. The highest average salary is offered in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York. If we look at the numbers, that's pretty good for an entry-level job and is also one of the most in-demand and reputable job positions.

Place

I will be looking for my preferred job in California. Such jobs as a developer, designer are in demand in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco with a lot of exposure to gain a lot of experience. Another reason why I want to work in California is because of the lifestyle over there and the weather, which I believe is a lot better than any other state. I will be finding my job with every resource possible, for example from online job sites like Handshake, indeed and also my networking and reference with peers that I made along my degree journey.

Promotion

I would be a good addition to the company as I can identify the problem and come up with a solution and furthermore I can, and I love to do more than what I am assigned for.
