Cost-Benefit Analysis

DSS expands the information scope handled by each expert (Xue, 2017).

DSS is user-driven.

DSS fails to undertake further analysis in solitude (Marakas & O'Brien, 2012).

KMS enhances knowledge discovery (Xue, 2017).

DSS depends on KMS.

DSS compares decisions with activities of KM.

DSS helps in investigation of underlying decision (Marakas & O'Brien, 2012)..

DSS may prove to be invaluable in terms of the expansion of the scope of information handled by experts. The implication is that cognitive limitations become less visible in the determination of the amount of information utilized by an expert. DSS is beneficial in terms of being user-driven, which means that the system has the capacity of answering the queries regarding what is input by the expert. However, it fails to provide any further analysis independently. KM emphasizes that DSS has the capacity of enhancing the knowledge of the manager through discovery of knowledge while supplying the relevant information. The notion is that DSS is designed with a greater consideration of KM. It helps in the undertaking of decision investigations in a business.
