EDSP 726

SPED SERVICES POWERPOINT INSTRUCTIONS For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation from the perspective of an administrator or leader in the field of education to be presented to pre-service teachers, in-service teachers, or university administration in regard to providing services for students with special needs (you are not required to present the PowerPoint). Assume the audience has very little knowledge concerning the rational, laws, procedures, research, and evidence regarding the provision of services to this student population. Identify your audience on your title slide (For example: Special Education Services: Professional Development for Pre-Service Teachers). Supporting evidence from the O’Brien and Beattie text, Chapter 2, must be incorporated throughout. Additionally, you must incorporate at least 1 other scholarly source (for example, a peer-reviewed journal article or a scholarly book such as the Swanson, Harris, and Graham textbook). Presentation:

• Since this is a professional presentation, limit the presentation to professional graphics and font choice.

• The slides should not contain too many words as the bulk of the wording (which would be spoken to the faculty) will go underneath the slides in the “Notes” section.

• Some slides should contain bulleted information with 1-2 graphics to keep the presentation visually appealing.

• The presentation must include 15-25 slides and speaking notes for each slide (excluding the title and reference slides).
