Detailed Power Point Guidelines
Your power point is more than a descriptive presentation; I expect you to demonstrate critical thinking, and link your topic clearly to the issues and viewpoints we covered this semester.
As it states in the syllabus, there will be three stages to this project:
(1) topic submission and approval (you are to submit a list of 3-5 possible topics of interest - some elaboration of the topic areas you will explore is expected);
(2) submission of a detailed outline (includes a detailed outline of the power point, as well as a minimum of seven (7) references cited in proper APA style); and
(3) submission of power point assignment.
· You are required to use at least five (5) academic sources (i.e. scholarly journals, books), and seven (7) sources in total. See the chart below:

If you need help finding articles or sources, talk to a librarian at the campus library. Librarians are your friends; they are there to assist you!
What you are to submit on the due date is a complete power point presentation as if you were going to give a power point presentation to the class.
You are to ensure that you have cited each and every thought that is not your own, paraphrased where appropriate, and used proper APA citation style (with a bibliography as the final slide(s) of the power point).
You must have a minimum of 20 power point slides not counting the title slide and bibliography slide(s). There is no maximum number of slides permitted. If you do not have the minimum number of slides, I will deduct points.
When you upload your assignment to Canvas, power points must be in color and saved in the WORD power point software. If you want, you can convert the power point to a pdf file, but that is the only other acceptable format for submission.
