-The goal should be to capture the audience’s attention which can be done with a quote, a startling statistic, or fact. It is not necessary to include this attention getter on the slide.

Counter-argument
People argue that an e-book is cheaper to access.
Other people argue that an e-book is better to use because it is easier to access it.
It is claimed to be easier because it can be found online on the phone or any electrical gadget.
The counterargument should be the most common argument against the topic. The goal for this slide is to address the counterargument in such a way as to actually strengthen the original topic. Be sure to address each piece of evidence against the topic. As you address each piece of evidence elaborate on the text found on the slide. Remember to transition to the final slide, the action step.

Between an e-book, and a traditional printed book, which one is better for reading?
Dedicate this entire slide to the thesis statement. It is the reason the speech is being given. Use this time to reveal the three main points of the speech (slides 4,5,6) as an overview for the direction of the speech:

It is enjoyable to read a printed book
A printed book has pages.
Pages are beautiful, nice and smooth.
This makes the reading process to be enjoyable.
Unlike an e-book, reading slides, making it appear like an ATM activity.
The title of main point #1 should be clear and concise. Each piece of evidence should be summarized for clarity and cited correctly. Do not simply read the pieces of evidence, but elaborate where needed.

Good for the readers health
The light emitted by gadgets is not good for the eyesight of the reader.
Some readers read a book in bed before sleeping.
This disrupts the normal sleep behavior of the reader and alertness of the reader in the morning.
According to studies made, a reader of a printed book will understand the plot of the book and its characters better than an e-book reader.
E-book readers do not remember activities taking place in a book clearly as compared to printed book readers.

Memories and reminders.
A printed book serves as a remembrance of the moment and experiences felt during reading the book.
An e-book cannot be used to keep memories.
An e-book is intangible, only viewed in a gadget.
A printed book can be used years later
Printed books are in hardcopy, when properly kept it can be used later on even if it is fifty years later.
An e-book can be destroyed by a virus or even loosing the gadget with the e-book.
Technology is always changing, making it hard to store the book.

Conclusion
Reading is an action meant to bring about pleasure, satisfaction, having fun. It is a process of gaining and exchanging knowledge and information, and staying mentally healthy.
The action step is what the audience is supposed to do or think about the topic. It should be one sentence that is written clearly and with much thought. It may also be the thesis statement restated as an action. The goal of this slide is to leave the audience with a clear message as to what they are to do or think at the end of the speech. It may be a good idea to end with a powerful quote or image.
