POST ONE: Describe the health organization your group has decided to form (hospital, small primary care physician office, health insurance company, billing company, healthcare IT company, or etc.). Do some research and think outside the box.

The healthcare facility our group has decided to form is an outpatient rehabilitation facility. This facility will offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We believe that Rehabilitation is a type of care that can help people regain the abilities that they need for daily living. It can be done for physical, mental, and/or cognitive reasons. It can be caused by a disease or injury, or a side effect of a medical procedure. Some of those Injuries and trauma, include burns and fractures, are some of the common treated diagnoses. Other conditions such as stroke and spinal cord injuries can also be treated with medical procedures.

Our Rehabilitation facility will provide a rehabilitation team of health care professionals who will help patient reach their varying goals. That medical team will consist of, Physical therapist who will help with patients strength, mobility, and fitness. An Occupational therapist to help you with your daily activities. Finally, to finalize the rehabilitation team is a Speech-language pathologist to help with speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and swallowing.

Apart of this team will have an administration team who will be our patient financial representative who will handle all registration duties at the front desk. We will also have a facility Director who will oversee the facility. We will also have a manager who will handle all staff goals & needs.
