Some reactions a community may experience communal shock, disbelief, anger or grief, disorientation, and unconstructive behaviors. The community members that have to relocate may have reactions such as struggling collectively to make sense of what happened, damaged social support systems, the ability to be resilient, disruption in the foundation of home and identity leads to feelings of helplessness, isolation, and loss of sense of community and cultural identity.
