I think this is a difficult scenario to be in because I am new to the department and position. Of course, one wants to do the best job while providing excellent service to the students while not overstepping your boundaries within the department. When entering a new setting, people may look to you as the "rookie" because you may have less experience or a newcomer. So, in this scenario, I would fulfill my duties and wait to see how things unfold. I would not be so quick to exclude a tactic before I try to see if it would work.
The ethical principles are at stake; in this case, are Not harm and Benefiting others. The easiest practice of the ethical principles for me is: Be faithful and Promote Justice. The hardest practice of the ethical principles for me is Benefit others because I am one who always worries about the ones who are left behind. Although many may gain from the program, would it be fair to exclude those who are restricted to meet the requirements even though there are circumstances that may hinder them from fulfilling their duties?
