RTI
Position Paper Guidelines (60 points)
As noted on the syllabus, you will have another type of writing assignment where you will be asked to “assume a side” via a written response. You will need to complete outside reading/research to gather information for taking a personal position. For this position paper, you will be required to express your opinion and explain your reasoning about which side you agree or disagree with as it relates to special education identification (RTII/MTSS or the Discrepancy Model). There is no correct format for this paper; it should simple be evidence of your use of critical-thinking skills and your ability to research information.
