DISCUSSION POST 2 BUDGET

This week, please explain how a liberal and conservative would differ in their approaches in developing the U.S. budget. 

We also discussed the intersection between political party and voter turnout. I want us to revisit each party's unique economic and social political ideologies and remember that the emphasis that each one has on values like community,  the individual right to liberty, and religion may differ.

Due to these differences in ideology, each party contends that the scope and powers of government should be either constrained or strengthened in certain areas. For example, if a party values something like global community, they may want additional funds for global aid. Conservatives are similar to liberals in some ways; for example, in terms of typically embracing a market economy. However, they differ in terms of other economic, social, and foreign issues (Himmelstein, 1990). I'm interested in hearing how you think these differences impact their budget priorities
